Abbott House opened its doors in 1939 as a memorial to social activist Grace Abbott. More than 80 years later, the charity serves youth ages 7 to 21 across South Dakota. Two of its intensive foster homes sit right here in Sioux Falls, SD, with more care in Mitchell and Rapid City. Each year the organization reaches over 400 young people.
