Six Years of Client Date Night and Why We Keep Throwing This Party

We just hosted our 6th annual Client Date Night, and I am still on a high from it. Six years in a row of our Forever Clients coming together for one night of fun, food, raffles, and a whole lot of catching up.

Why Date Night Lands in September

We throw a handful of client events every year, and I love how each one serves a different group of people. Our turkey giveaway and Santa photos bring out the whole family. Date Night is different. It is our only adults-only event, and we put it in September on purpose.

The kids are back in school, the schedules are set, and parents are ready for a night out. It is a reset for the new school year, and our clients tell us every year how much they needed it.

Our clients also bring their friends. So many of those friends have a life change coming up: a growing family, a job move, an empty nest. We love meeting them, and when they are ready, they already know who to call.

Walking Through Life With Our Clients

This night is full of tears and full of joy. We hear about new babies, new jobs, weddings, and first homes. We also hear about the hard stuff, the losses and the tough years. When you serve people for a long time, you get both the highs and the lows, and I would not trade that for anything.

Some of my favorite conversations were with clients I met more than 20 years ago. Getting to sit down and catch up with them is one of the best parts of my whole year.

Our Clients Have Become Friends

Here is something I never expected when we started this event. Our clients have become friends with each other. Some of them only see each other once a year, at Date Night. They find each other the minute they walk in, grab a table together, and pick up right where they left off. Watching that happen makes my heart so full.

I Will Never Get Tired of This

I love watching our agents serve their clients all night long. And every single year, clients come find me to tell me how great their agent is. The extra time, the care, the way they were taken care of. I could hear it all night.

We also use Date Night to announce new perks for our clients, and it is so fun. The reaction in the room is instant, and the feedback helps us keep making the client experience better.
